Ever wondered what life is really like for a student at Victory College of Health?
From early morning devotion to hands-on lab sessions, life on campus is structured, engaging, and inspiring. Here’s a look into the typical day of Chinaza, a second-year student studying Environmental Health:
⏰ 6:00 AM – Morning Devotion & Personal Quiet Time
Chinaza starts her day with prayer and a short Bible study. Faith is an important part of her journey, and the school encourages students to begin each day centered in God.
“Starting my day with devotion helps me stay focused, especially when the academic pressure kicks in,” she says.
🍽️ 7:00 AM – Breakfast & Hostel Prep
After a quick breakfast at the hostel cafeteria, Chinaza packs her textbooks, water bottle, and lab coat. She checks her timetable to be sure she’s ready for her first class.
📚 8:00 AM – Lecture Time
Today’s class is on Occupational Hazards in Waste Management. The lecturer is animated, sharing real-life examples from fieldwork. Students ask questions, take notes, and prepare for an upcoming group presentation.
🔬 11:00 AM – Practical Lab Session
Next stop is the Environmental Health lab. Chinaza and her team test water samples for contamination levels using techniques they’ve learned over the semester.
“We don’t just learn theory—we do the work. That’s what makes VCH stand out,” she notes.
AFTERNOON TO EVENING BLOCK.
🍛 1:00 PM – Lunch Break
Lunch is rice and beans with plantain at the campus food court. Students gather around, chatting about class, church, and weekend plans.
💻 2:00 PM – Study & Research
Chinaza heads to the school library to work on her assignment. She uses the school’s Wi-Fi to access online journals and prints out a research outline to submit next week.
📖 4:00 PM – Fellowship or Student Group Meeting
On Wednesdays, Chinaza attends the weekly student fellowship—a time of worship, Bible study, and encouragement. Other days, she meets with her course group or volunteers with the health outreach team.
🌙 8:00 PM – Review & Rest
After dinner, Chinaza reviews her class notes, preps for the next day, and then unwinds with music or a book before bedtime.
